Location:
Great Hollow Wilderness School & Conference Center, an 890-acre
wildlife preserve, 225 Route 37, New Fairfield, Connecticut.
Please park in the lot on the right side of the driveway, next to
red barn/garage, then walk on to the large white farmhouse at the
far end of the driveway.
Directions:
From the East:
I-84 west to Exit 6, Danbury. Turn right at the bottom of the exit
onto Route 37.
Follow Route 37 North approx. 8 miles to New Fairfield center.
Continue north on rte 37 for 3.8 miles. Turn left onto Haviland
Hollow Rd (aka Rte 22 connector). You must maneuver around an island
@ the end of Haviland Hollow Rd in order to make the Immediate right
turn into Great Hollow.
From the South (NYC area) and West:
I-684 North to the end; becomes NY rte.22 North. Travel approx. 5
miles to Haviland Hollow Rd. (Diner on the corner). Make right hand
turn onto Haviland Hollow Rd (NY rte 68).
*Follow Haviland Hollow Road until just before it ends, at CT-37.
Turn left at the island into the Great Hollow driveway.
From the North:
Taconic parkway South to Rte 55,
Pawling. Take Rte 55 east, approx 14.5 miles to Rte 22 southbound.
After approx 5 miles, turn left at light onto Haviland Hollow Rd
(NY rte 68). See * above |
